Not in the bible: Figment of Imagination in the Catholic Archbishop’s mind : Archbishop of the Catholic Church Cyprian Lwanga said that Christians should make the sign of cross because it’s a way of asking God to purify their thoughts and actions: inside the satanic ecumenical Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC)

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. (1 Timothy 3:15)

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. (John 17:17-21)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14: 6)

The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. (2 John 1 :1-4)

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 2 John 1 :9-11

Comment

Dear Brothers and sisters in Christ , do not fall prey to this ecumenical trap by Satan the father of all lies . The unity that the bible talks about is unity based on truth and not error. The bible calls the church a pillar and ground of truth and not a pillar and ground of errors. How can  born again Christians join hands with catholic witchcraft that involves worshiping of the dead, images, worshiping of blood of dead people etc . How can  born again Christians join with catholic heretics who has rebelled against the word of God which is the truth and instead gone whoring after figments of imaginations, traditions, rosaries , scapulas, going through Mary and all the doctrinal filthy   and garbage from Rome. Ecumenism is total rebellion that leads to hell. Have nothing to do with it.

Protestants and unfortunately some born again evangelicals are embracing the devilish ecumenical road to Rome, not knowing that Rome still claims to be the only true church. Precisely, ecumenism according to  Rome  means every one subscribing to the satanic roman catholic church doctrines . See,

Christians should make the sign of cross because it’s a way of asking God to purify their thoughts and actions, the Archbishop of the Catholic Church Cyprian Lwanga has said.

“When we touch the face, we ask the Lord to bless our minds; when we touch the chest, we ask Lord to bless our hearts; and when we touch the arm, we ask Lord to bless the work we do so that we can effectively sustain ourselves,” narrated Lwanga.

Lwanga said Christians therefore need to make the sign of cross whenever necessary since they all need God’s blessing to effectively pursue their endeavors. He further noted that the sign of the cross has a great bearing on making righteous actions.

“Is it only the Catholics and the Orthodox (they make sign of cross) who want their minds and hearts to be purified by God? We all need his (God) blessing to work effectively and that is why we must make the cross,” Lwanga said.

Archbishop Lwanga further noted that the cross signified the victory of Jesus Christ over death, after shedding his blood to take away the sins of the world.

“We (all Christians) should actually be making the sign of the cross but some of us are not doing so because of division,” said Lwanga.

The Archbishop was speaking at Rubaga Cathedral during a service organized to mark the end of the Ecumenical Week.

Activities during the week were organized under the auspices of the Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC), a body that brings together the Ugandan Christian denominations of Catholic, Anglican and Orthodox.

The Ecumenical week, which is largely regarded as the “Week of Prayer for Christian Unity” is an international prayer period observed annually between January 18 and January 25. It is an observance lasting eight days.

This year’s Ecumenical celebrations were launched at Orthodox Church’s St Paul’s Cathedral Namungoona, located in the outskirts of Kampala. The year’s theme was, “Has Jesus been divided?” picked from the book of First Corinthians.

Bishop Edward Muhima, the former Prelate of Kigezi North Diocese, then representing Stanley Ntagali, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, noted that the activities of the week were a manifestation that Christians in Uganda are beginning to realize that they belong together.

“Whether you are an Anglican, Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, or Adventist, we all serve the same God,” said Muhima.

UJCC Executive Secretary Fr. Sylvester Arinaitwe said unlike in the past when prayers for the Ecumenical week alternated in the city parishes of the participating churches, this year’s prayers were undertaken in the cathedrals.

The “Week of Prayer for Christianity” is an agreed upon activity in the global Christianity family.

Documents for the week are prepared by the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity of the Roman Catholic Church and the Commission on Faith and Order of the World Council of Churches

The prayer week organized by the Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC) that started last Sunday at the Orthodox Church, Namungoona ends on Sunday 26.

The annual occasion, started at Rubaga Cathedral in 2008, is intended to bring all Christians together and rotates in the churches and in parishes of all churches.

UJCC secretary Fr. Sylvester Arinaitwe said this occasion is celebrated throughout the world annually and this year’s occasion has been held in Uganda under the theme: “Has Christ been divided?”

“The prayer week in Uganda was jointly adopted by the pontifical council for promoting Christian unity and the Commission on Faith and Order of the World Council of Churches,” he said.

The prayers started off last week with Kampala Archbishop Dr. Cyprian Kizito-Lwanga as the main preacher at Namungoona.

The week of prayers is scheduled to be wrapped up at the Sacred Heart of Mary Cathedral, Lubaga where Church of Uganda’s Archbishop Stanley Ntagali will be the main preacher.

Accordingly, Archbishop Lwanga told Christians to learn to forgive one another and stop being jealous to one another.

He mentioned that to eliminate poverty from their homes, people ought to work hard and stay away from witchcraft, as practicing rituals would not save them from being impoverished.

The UJCC was founded by the late Archbishop Joseph Kiwanuka of the Catholic Church, Archbishop Leslie Brown of the Church of Uganda and Archbishop Theodorous Nankyama of the Orthodox Church.
At St Paul’s Cathedral, Namirembe, Archbishop Jonah Lwanga of the Orthodox church, who was the main preacher on Thursday said: “Uganda as nation is faced with numerous problems including economic and social, which need prayers so that God helps mankind to know the right path.”

“Truth and justice is also lacking among the people while prices of commodities including food are too high for the ordinary Ugandan,” he said.

“The youths are being swayed with what they see and read in the social media.”
Jonah Lwanga said that the theme of this year’s prayer week should challenge every Christian to work for unity and reconciliation.

“The young generation needs prayers and encouragement to live in harmony as people of the same family with a common destiny,” said the clergyman.

Bishop Wilberforce Kityo-Luwalira of Namirembe, who was the host, expressed gratitude to Christians and clergy from different churches and hailed the spirit of togetherness that had been displayed at his Church.
On his part, Kampala Archbishop Lwanga hailed the founders of UJCC for being far-sighted.
