When Born Again Christians use sin to fight sin

Last week the social media, Local newspapers and Local TV stations were awash with the so called hot story of the burning of bibles by the renegade pastor Aloysius Bujingo. This story was based  on doctored photos  that were circulated on social media. A number of Pentecostal pastors have used these photos to condemn Pastor Bujingo as a cult and false minister. It is possible that these photos were doctored by  ‘born again’ persons or even pastors. Many pastors are not condemning the act of bible burning per se rather they are using this fake incident to bring down pastor Bugingo because he has exposed the rotten , dark and evil acts of Pentecostal pastors  in Uganda such as robbery , lack of accountability, prayers for sale, extortion, defrauding of saints and ecumenism

Pastor Aloysius Bujingo is right to expose the evils in Uganda’s rotten Pentecostal Prosperity movement. In fact many of the members of Pastor Bujingo’s house of prayer church were victims of evil pastors in Uganda’s Pentecostal churches. A number of religious fellows who have criticized pastor Bugingo just because they  have hatred against born again people. The bible says categorically that whoever hates his brother is a murderer(1 John 3:15)  and no murder will go to heaven. The bible also equates liars with their father the devil who was a lair from the beginning(John 8:44). It is therefore un Christian to use lies and hatred to bring down another person. Pr.Bujingo is hated by Pastors because he touched them where it hurts most. We must tell the truth about whether Pr.Bujingo told people to burn bibles or burnt them him self and we need to bring proof about whether he personally burnt the bibles. What I know is that he collected a number of bibles for burning but i'm not sure he torched them him self. The view that Pr.Bujingo burnt bibles  begs the question .

Pastor Bujingo Bujingo’s Holy Ghost Confusion is not the worst crime and scandal  that has happened in Uganda’s Pentecostal Movement

Pastor Bujingo has erroneously argued that the translation of ‘Holy Ghost’ in a number of bibles is a ploy by  devil worshipers who want people to worship ghosts and that is why they call the Holy Spirit the Holy Ghost. Pastor Bugingo also opines  that the lines talking about the Fasting and Lent, were deleted through unclear circumstances and that the word “Holy Ghost” appears 99 times yet the word “Holy Spirit” appears only seven times. To Pastor Bugingo, the defects in the Bible were the handiwork of “devil worshipers” and should, therefore, not be allowed to confuse Christians.

This is a big error from pastor Bujingo that came about because he tried to understand an English word ‘holy ghost’ using a mother tongue or local African language. The Luganda language which Pastor Bujingo is using has no concept for holy ghost. It tends to look at all ghosts as evil ghosts(emizimu). The word Ghost in Luganda has been associated with the evil spirit of a dead person. Pastor Bugingo should be forgiven for claiming to be an authority on something he has not taken time to study. Basing on his level of education this error of his is excusable. However, he needs to simply repent in order to save us from all this hullabaloo.

Scandals in Uganda’s Pentecostal Movement that are worse that Pastor Bujingo’s Holy Ghost Confusion

The following scandals in Uganda’s Pentecostal movement are worse that Pr.Bujingo’s holy Ghost confusion:
Isn’t it a scandal that born again pastors in Uganda do not know that Easter is a pagan goddess and has nothing to do with Paske or Passover or the death and resurrection of the our Lord Jesus Christ? Isn’t it a scandal  that  born again pastors in Uganda  have  the guts to sing that Jesus was born on Christmas day? Isn’t it a scandal that many pastors in Uganda hate to account for monies collected in their ministries yet they call themselves children of light ? isn’t it a scandal that Pentecostal pastors in Uganda teach tithing yet Jesus never told his followers to do so?  isn’t it a scandal that Pentecostal pastors in Uganda teach tithing when the disciples of Jesus never told Christians to do so? In fact tithing is absent in the entire book of the Acts of the Apostles. Isn’t it a scandal that a born again pastor can join hands with ecumenists?? Isn’t it a scandal that Pentecostal pastors also pay tithes yet they call them selves Levites? Do we have Levites in the bible that paid tithes?? Isn’t it a scandal that a number of Pentecostal pastors in Uganda have divorced their wives or husbands? The list of scandals in Uganda’s Pentecostal Prosperity Movement is quite big.

Pastor Bujingo is right on omitted verses in bibles  but wrong to tell people to burn fake bibles

Pastor Bujingo is right to argue that many bibles are missing verses . He is raising a very important debate on bible versions. However, he has not adequately studied the issue. He is defending the KJV but is not sure about what a true KJV bible looks like. The debate on bible versions is healthy, it will open the eyes of believers but needs a deeper critical study. You do not need to burn fake bibles , just expose them . If they are all burned, with what will you compare??? Pr.Bujingo is exposing the secret that religious institutions like the catholic church have hidden from Christians for ages. The catholic church does not want people to know the history of the bible and to point out the errors in the bible. It is surprising that the so called theologically illiterate Pr.Bujingo has managed to show the missing verses in the bibles yet graduate Priests and Reverends are saying nothing about this.

Pastor’s Bujingo and the challenge of  Double standards
Pastor Bujingo is proving to be person of double standards because he is practicing what is condemning . For example he has been accused of telling people to burn seed envelopes but he one time  asked people in his church to pay in dollars. Secondly, he preaches the prosperity gospel and dominion theology that all the extortionist pastors preach. It is very difficult to separate the prosperity gospel from extortion , defrauding and merchandising of saints. Some people are of the view that he condemns other pastors in order in order to attract followers to his church.

I’m ready for hell if this is wrong – Pr Bugingo on burning bibles that bear the word “Holy Ghost”

http://ugchristiannews.com/im-ready-for-hell-if-this-is-wrong-pr-bujingo-on-burning-bibles-that-bear-the-word-holy-ghost/

Christians and non Christians alike were left in shock Monday morning when photos surfaced on social media of hundreds of bibles pilled up and set ablaze at Makerere Kikoni, Kawempe Division.
Moments later, sources said that acclaimed Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of House of Prayer ministries had ordered his congregation to burn bibles which have the word “Holy Ghost” in their text.
UG Christian News was notified that Pastor Bugingo assembled most of these bibles during the Church’s Easter Service on Sunday, 16th April 2017.
Several notable Pastors, Christian figures and organisations have come out to condemn this act as this website reports.
“There are so many campaigns we are running concurrently, all because we are concentrated on spiritual issues…coming in, I found a brother who used his money to buy 10 bibles, King James Version. This bible was falsely translated, however the original ones still exist. When he gave them to me, I checked to see if they bore the word “Holy Spirit”. This is something I’m able to notice by the Grace of God. I quickly opened one to Mathew 17: 21 which talks about the fasting and prayer we are engaged in. The texts were clear.” Bujingo told congregants, who totaled up to over 6000 on Sunday. “I further searched for where they talk about the “Holy Spirit”. Always pay keen attention to Luke 4:1, which talks about Jesus being filled with the “Holy Spirit” that led him into the wilderness. That is one of the scriptures where the worshipers of the devil who want people to worship “Ghosts” change Holy Spirit to Holy Ghost.”
Bujingo, who is the proprietor of media brands 107.0 Salt FM and Salt TV, says in God’s set up, there is no “Ghost.”
“We thank God for the Luganda bibles, they are still authentic. There was one that had come up – trying to confuse people too – they translated the book of Genesis, “Lubereberye ” as “Ntandikwa “. These are two different words. “Genesis” and “the Beginning” are two different words. When you read the book of Genesis, you will find this word; In the beginning. So you cannot use a statement in the story to be the title.” He said.
“Satan is trying to twist the minds of those that think are learnt. No one is supported to add or remove form the bible. In your English bible, it doesn’t have to be “Holy Ghost”, it has to be the “Holy Spirit”. We serve a God who is so far apart from the Kingdom of Satan. There is no word used by Satan, that is used by God.” He said.
“Let those who want to disagree or fight go ahead. We were simply taught the Language. Let us actually appreciate Bible Society of Uganda. Words like “Omuzimu” are used here in Uganda, but the institution did not use this word for the place of “Spirit” when translating the bible to Luganda. They do not use words like “Omuzimu Omutukirizu” in place of “Holy Ghost”. He added.
Bujingo noted that their next project after building the Church, often referred to as “Canaan land”, will be building a printery house that produces verified bibles.
“Our next project for as long as I’m alive – even if I die, what those after me will put in place – will be printing bibles. We are not going to buy a machine that prints Newspapers. But as God lives, we will have a printery house that produces verified bibles . Whatever it will take, we will write to those meant to give us rights, so that we print authentic and verified bibles. Once we take the counterfeit bible from someone, before we burn it, we give them the true bible.” He said.
“Those who started counterfeit bibles, especially those that want to worship misleading spirits – the Nigerians, those in Ghana and UK – they distribute them freely in their churches. Even here in Uganda, they are very cheap. They used “Holy Ghost” with limited mention of the “Holy Spirit”, a word they will soon eliminate completely in the near future.” He added.
In reference to The Good News Bible, the pastor said parents are forcefully told to bring them to school for students as a requirement. He told the believers that such bibles are produced by Homosexuals who omit and wrongly translate scripture.
“They are very counterfeit. They miss countless scriptures. Where we have words like Homosexual, they changes it to prosecution. My appeal goes out to all teachers, this bible has several omitted, and partially-written-scripture; over 200. Come and we sensitize you. Where God destroyed cities for sexual perversity acts like Homosexuality, they only mention prostitution. Those that printed these bibles are Homosexuals. They pretend to be giving out grants and funds. We are going to take it to media and explain what scriptures are missing from this bible.” The Pastor said.
Already contacted by Bible Society of Uganda?
“You will hear that their agents – they call them selves pastors here in Uganda – rising up to fight what we are doing. Even the Bible Society of Uganda might rise against me and say that what I’m saying is false. When you are reading Mathew 17 of the Good News bible, it is from verse 20 to 22. They omit verse 21.They are not ashamed to leave a blank space then verse 22. They then insert verse 21 in the notes.
“Bible Society wanted to call me to explain some of these issues, but I told them it is not necessary, let them print back scriptures where they belong and write them the way they are meant to be.”
Come what may!
“I’m not ready for any meeting with anyone, If I’m doing the wrong thing, I’m ready for hell. God Knows.
He quoted Revelation 22; And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
“No sensible generation can publish a bible and write the chapter of Mathew 17, hiding verse 21. These are for burning.
“But when you are strong, I keep some of them because I want to reveal these things to you. But if you are not strong, and are not going to teach anyone about this, simply burn it. Sell some of your belongings and go buy another bible. Evaluate it intensely before you do.
“He also warns against prayers made with mention of the “Holy Ghost”.
About latest edition of dictionaries that describe “Ghost” as a Spirit of God.
“They have come up with new editions of the dictionary that describe “Ghost” as a spirit of God. They knew we would reason from the definition at one time. Wrongfully, they used the word “Spirit” to describe Ghost.” They have not realised that “Ghost” means “Emyoyo gya’baffu” to loosely mean “Soul of the dead.” Ghost represents the spirit of death. It is only the spirit of God that brings life.”
Naive of social media attacks?
“I know it is all over social media. They are saying that I ordered for the burning of the King James Version of the bible. I have not made that order. But “King James” was filtrated. This counterfeit version printed in Korea in 2010 is full of “Holy Ghost. “However, the one printed on 1611 does not mention “Ghost” as the Spirit of God.
“It has been advanced over the years for simplicity of language but the ” Spirit of God” remains the Spirit of God.” Pr Bugingo says.

VIDEO: I did not burn Bibles — Pastor Bugingo says “people faked photos”

http://matookerepublic.com/2017/04/24/video-i-did-not-burn-bibles-pastor-bugingo-says-people-faked-photos/

After Easter Monday last week, Salt Media CEO and head pastor at House of Prayer Ministries Church Aloysius Bugingo has been in the news for allegedly burning Bibles.  It was alleged he asked the congregations to burn Bibles that had the word “Holy Ghost” instead of “Holy Spirit”, stating that the word “ghost” is a negative force

However, during yesterday’s Sunday prayer services at Canaan land in Makerere, Kikooni, the pastor denied burning Bibles.
“The person who faked the bible burning scenes should have kidnapped me on gun point to show I am indeed the one who burnt the bibles“, he stated.
Bugingo said the circulating photos are not real, they are just intended to defame him.
“They just ‘added photos’ together and made allegations.  Who can burn the bible where we find the word that brings us together”, he defended himself.

VIDEO: Tempers flare as Ugandan pastor burns Bibles

Sunday April 23 2017

By GILLIAN NANTUME

Kampala. Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of House of Prayer Ministries in Makerere Kikoni, a Kampala suburb, stunned Christians last Monday, when he torched Bibles on claims that they are ‘misleading’ and cannot be a dependable source of the Gospel.
Pastor Bugingo, whose feats have been despised as “stupid”, “ignorant” and “intolerant” by fellow leaders in Christ, is however, reported to have burned King James Version (KJV) and Good News Bibles – which he collected from his 6,000-strong flock on Easter Sunday – because they bore the words ‘Holy Ghost’ as opposed to ‘Holy Spirit.’
Bugingo’s followers quoted their leader, telling them before overseeing the burning of the Bibles that King James Version and the New Testament, were tampered with and that some verses were omitted without explanation.
For instance, Pastor Bugingo told his flock that the lines talking about the Fasting and Lent, were deleted through unclear circumstances and that the word “Holy Ghost” appears 99 times yet the word “Holy Spirit” appears only seven times. To Pastor Bugingo, the defects in the Bible were the handiwork of “devil worshipers” and should, therefore, not be allowed to confuse Christians.
Pastor Bugingo claims that the devil worshipers want people to worship ghosts and that is why they call the Holy Spirit the Holy Ghost. Mr Bugingo is quoted by his followers as saying, “Satan is trying to twist the minds of those that think are learnt. There is no word used by Satan that is used by God. You will hear their agents – they call themselves pastors here in Uganda – rising up to fight what we are doing.”
The pastor, who owns Salt FM and Salt TV, also announced plans to build a printing house that will produce ‘verified’ bibles” and in response to his fellow pastors, who condemned his act of burning the Bibles, his answer was unequivocal. “If what am doing is wrong, then am ready for hell.”

Swift condemnation
But the more the photos of burning heaps of Bibles went viral on Social Media sites, the more the anger kept spreading. Although there were no street protests, religious leaders in the country have, however, come out to condemn the Bible burning incident as “a blasphemous abomination” and asked God-loving people to denounce what some Christians have described as “the warped teachings” of Pastor Bugingo.
Sunday Monitor’s efforts to talk to Bugingo were futile as he did not answer our phone calls nor did he reply to recurrent text messages. His assistant [Pastor Francis Victor Mutawe] declined to speak on behalf of his boss.
Holy Ghost Vs Holy Spirit
English Language. It is only in modern English translations of the Bible that ‘spirit’ has replaced ‘ghost.’ However, the KJV retains ‘Holy Ghost’. In 1611 when the KJV was published, a ghost meant the soul of a living person, while a spirit meant a demon or a dead person. As English evolved, the word ‘ghost’ took on a different meaning and newer versions changed ‘Ghost’ to ‘Spirit’.
Theology. Theologians also believe the difference came when some writers translated the Greek phrase hagion pneuma as Holy Spirit, while others translated it as Holy Ghost. Both Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit refer to the Third Person of the Trinity – God the Spirit.
What they say...
“That pastor neglected to consult those who have been in the pastoral ministry for a long time, he acted out of ignorance. We would have counselled him. If you have a jigger in your foot, do you cut off the whole leg?”
Bishop David Kiganda, Christianity Focus Centre
“It is at such times that my heart sinks for the ignorant followers, who even don’t read their Bibles but rely on listening to their pastors. An undiscipled Christian is a dangerous one!”
Robert B. Mutyaba, Bible Readers Network Uganda
“The burning of the bibles is a sign of intolerance. I condemn such ignorant and stupid acts,”
Father John Mungereza, parish priest of Our Lady of Africa Mbuya Church
“The Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit are the same There are many spirits, but the difference is that while others are evil, only one is holy. It is narrow-minded of him (Bugingo) to say the Holy Ghost is evil,”
Rev Jasper Tumuhimbise, All Saints Cathedral Kampala.

He revealed that he is meeting various pastors to “resolve the matter”.
“We are meeting with various pastors who are not divided so that we can find a solution to this matter,” he concluded.

Dr Joseph Serwadda responds to “unread pastor” who ordered for the burning of Bible

http://ugchristiannews.com/dr-joseph-serwadda-responds-to-unread-pastor-who-ordered-for-the-burning-of-bibles/

Head of the Born Again Faith in Uganda Apostle Dr. Joseph Serwadda has issued a statement in regard to bibles burnt by acclaimed Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of House of Prayer ministries located at Makerere Kikoni, Kawempe Division.
Pastor Bugingo on Easter Monday reportedly set ablaze hundreds of KJV, Holy Bibles collected from his congregation on Sunday. He claimed that these bibles were ‘wrongly’ translated hence misleading.
Following his argument, the Salt Radio and TV proprietor said worshipers of the devil who want people to worship “ghosts” changed the word “Holy Spirit” to “Holy Ghost”. He urged that words “Holy Spirit” and “Holy Ghost”do not mean the same thing.
“Always pay keen attention to Luke 4:1, which talks about Jesus being filled with the “Holy Spirit” that led him into the wilderness. That is one of the scriptures where the worshipers of the devil who want people to worship “Ghosts” change Holy Spirit to Holy Ghost.” He told the congregants on Sunday.
In a statement received by this website on Thursday, Pr Serwadda says that both “Holy Ghost” and “Holy Spirit” refer to the Third Person of the Trinity, coequal and con-substantial with the Father and the Son, quoting  Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3,4; 28:25,26; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6.
“I hear someone among Uganda’s unread pastors has ordered the burning of Bibles which have HOLY GHOST IN THEIR TEXT. The big irony is that he uses a tribal dialect Bible to minister. However, the Big question: “Is there difference between the Holy Spirit and Holy Ghost?” Apostle Dr Serwadda wondered.
“Of the modern English translations of the Bible, it is only the King James Version of the Bible which uses the term “Holy Ghost.” It occurs 90 times in the KJV. The term “Holy Spirit” occurs 7 times in the KJV. The exact same Greek and Hebrew words are translated “ghost” and “spirit” in the KJV in different occurrences of the words. By “ghost,” the KJV translators did not intend to communicate the idea of “the spirit of a deceased person.” In 1611, when the KJV was originally translated, the word “ghost” primarily referred to “an immaterial being.”” He noted.
Adding: “With recent Scripture translations, “Spirit” has replaced “Ghost” in most instances. Some of this came about because words don’t always hold their meanings. In the days of Shakespeare or King James, ghost meant the living essence of a person. Looking back, we see that “breath” or “soul” were often used as synonyms of “ghost.” During these times, spirit normally meant the essence of a departed person or a demonic or paranormal apparition. As language evolved, people started saying “ghost” when speaking of the vision of a dead person while “spirit” became the standard term for life or living essence, often also for “soul.” With slight exceptions, “ghost” and “spirit” changed places over some 300 years.”
Pr Serwadda says what seems to be the reason for the saga could be the many changes that have occurred in the English language.
“These changes come about in reference, meaning, inference or even intent. For one to drastically change this, their command of the English language is of the essence. What is left is to ask whoever has a differing opinion to put their academic and Bible Training credentials on the table. Short of this, you are dealing with and taking orders from a mad man.” He said.
