The danger of not standing up to be counted : Pentecostal leaders keep silent about the sinister plan to make Museveni president for life

Museveni addressing youth at Pastor Kayanja's church in Kampala on Wednesday

MUST READ:

When Pentecostal pastors in Uganda fornicate with a Dictator : Pastor Kayanja compares President Museveni to King David (a man after God’s own heart(1 Sam. 13:14) ) at the 2016 swearing in

Gen Saleh and Kayanja at Miracle Centre Church in Kampala

Pentecostal leaders have been corrupted by Museveni’s state house dinners and  other privileges
Religious leaders under their inter-religious council umbrella have come out strongly to warn that 102(b) should not be amended to allow Museveni to stand for life. Also opposition politicians , law dons at Makerere university and other secular leaders  have come out strongly to warn President Museveni and his yellow MPs  against removing the age limit on the presidency . However, Pentecostal leaders  like  Pastor Kiganda, Pastor Kayanja, Pastor Senyonga have remained silent about the age limit debate. If they do not wake up to be counted, history will judge them harshly as people who looked on as Uganda was being thrown to the dogs. I applaud pastor Bwanika and Pastor Mabirizi for stading up against Museveni’s dictatorship. Even, Pastor Serwadda has scored for being on record as far as advising government about the quick amendment of article 102(b).

Pentecostalism is being used by Museveni as the opium to blind the people from the evils and injustices of the NRM system

As the likes of Pastor Kayanja prophesy revival , peace and prosperity in Uganda, the country is slowly but steadily sinking into militarism , dictatorship, corruption , greed for power and life presidency . The Pentecostal movement is likely to be looked at as  foolish movement because of its alliance with Museveni’s dictatorship. The bible says God does not do anything without out revealing it to his servant the prophets . People will wonder why the so called spirit filled born again Pentecostals did not see the signs of the time .
People will wonder why  spirit filled Pentecostals  fornicated with Museveni’s corrupt dictatorship. People will put pastors to task to explain why they looked on as museveni turned the country to the dogs in order to promote his life presidency project. If Pentecostals do not watch out , they might fall with museveni’s dictatorship . In future, people might feel ashamed of being called Pentecostals and some people might go back to catholic and Anglicanism because of the blatant hypocrisy and naivety of Pentecostal leaders.
Museveni’s chicken soup is stopping the mouths of Pentecostal leaders from warning him about the doomed future of Uganda under Museveni’s life presidency
While on his ‘Weddemu’ programme  on  Sunday, this week, Pastor Kiganda  and Pastor Muyizi  criticized  opposition Mps for ashaming the country by fighting in parliament . They did  not criticize Museveni for ashaming the country by clinging on to power for life. Pastor Muyizi called opposition MPs fools by alluding that ‘wisdom is better than foolishness’.  These pastors are like the Pharisees whom the Lord Jesus Christ attacked for not understanding the signs of the time. The future  is likely to judge them harshly.
In his so called 77 days of glory revival meetings, Kayanja has argued that by December this year born against will be the richest people in Uganda . Pastor Kayanja is going to be proved a lair the same way he was proved a lair when prophesied a presidential election out come some years ago. One wonders how on earth , born agains can be richer than the yellow NRM thieves in Museveni’s government . During the inauguration of president Museveni early this year, Kayanja plainly told the country that Museveni was like David who started ruling at 30 years. Kayanja was alluding that after 30 years in power Museveni was just beginning his reign in Uganda. Can you Imagine!!
Pentecostals leaders see museveni as their savoir . During his regime they have amassed a lot wealth in terms of houses, radio stations, TV stations , expensive cars etc. In addition, they have managed to merchandise their flock under the protection of government. Some of them are being protected by Museveni’s guns and that is why they can not tell him the truth about the impending danger he is unleashing on Uganda. These Pentecostal leaders keep silent as museveni’s regime evicts the poor from their lands , they are silent about the corruption in Museveni’s government and are being used to fool people that bad governance is not the problem but demons that need to be cast out from people. God will judge the Pentecostal Movement in Uganda for fornicating with museveni’s dictatorship.

Makerere law dons slam age limit bill

In an unprecedented development, at least 22 Makerere University school of law lecturers have weighed in on the hugely polarising debate over presidential age limits.
The dons yesterday issued a stinging three-page statement criticising the government, parliament, army, police and one media regulator.
“The grave occurrences in Uganda since discussion commenced of the proposed amendment to Article 102(b) have exposed the violation by the executive, and lack of commitment on the part of legislators to the rule of law,” the statement said.
Speaker Rebecca Kadaga was criticised by the law dons
The dons referred to the genesis of Uganda’s troubles, starting with the 1966 events which saw Prime Minister Apollo Milton Obote surround Parliament with soldiers and force through his pigeonhole constitution, overthrowing the 1962 independence constitution.
“The trend of militarisation of politics is being re-enacted starting with the 2005 ‘Black Mamba’ invasion of the High court and now the siege of parliament and invasion of its chambers.
“All evidence points to the fact that the rape of the sanctity of parliament was deliberately planned to intimidate the legislators to pass an amendment that favours a single individual. We thus strongly condemn the actions of the executive, the military and police. It is actions like these which destroy the independence of institutions that are critical for democratic governance.”
The bill, which seeks to scrap Article 102 (b), capping  the upper age for presidential candidates at 75 years, was tabled in parliament yesterday.
All 22 law dons signed yesterday’s statement which also condemned Speaker Rebecca Kadaga for her role in the events that have rocked parliament in recent days.
All the 22 law dons appended their signatures on the statement
The executive director at the Uganda Communications Commission, Geofrey Mutabazi, was also condemned for issuing an unconstitutional directive banning live coverage of the debate in parliament.
Members of the legal fraternity are similarly criticised for the absurd and deliberate misleading of Ugandans with skewed interpretations of the Constitution.
They said amendments to Article 102 (b) of the constitution have nothing to do with discrimination of persons, as is being claimed by some lawyers.
“The view that Article 102(b) is discriminatory is legally unsound and untenable because it makes a mockery of all standard-setting provisions in the constitution,” the dons said, adding:  “The constitution has many provisions that impose limitations relating to age, capacity, soundness of mind, the qualifications and retirement for public servants etc.”

Some members of parliament claim the upper age limit of 75 years discriminates against President Museveni who will be 77 years old in 2021 and not eligible to seek re-election.
Last week, the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga suspended 25 MPs opposed to the amendment after debate on Raphael Magyezi’s request for permission to table the bill turned violent.
The law dons criticised Kadaga for what they called “surrendering her power and thereby exposing parliament to the whims of the executive arm of government and in particular to sections of the army and police.”

Plain-clothed soldiers from the Special Forces Command stormed the parliamentary chamber and evicted the opposition MPs on September 27.
RECOMMENDATION
The dons recommend that parliament rescinds the motion allowing presentation of a private members bill to amend Article 102(b).
That all organs of the state and private actors respect the freedoms of expression of all including media freedoms, that the Uganda Human Rights Commission should take immediate action against all violators of human rights both within and outside parliament in connection to the age limit debate.
They also recommend that security forces desist from engaging in partisan politics and the political persecution of citizens opposed to the age limit amendment.
That all citizens of Uganda exercise their rights and duty under Article 3 to defend and protect the constitution.

VIDEO: Inter-religious council condemns Constitutional amendment bill on land

August 12, 2017

Kampala, Uganda | NTV UGANDA | The Inter Religious Council of Uganda has advised government not to move ahead with the proposed constitutional Amendment Bill on land acquisition saying this would be an infringement on people’s rights to land ownership.
The religious leaders, who addressed the media at their offices in Lubaga, vowed to take the matter to different houses of worship to sensitize the people on the implications of the amendment.
